Postlude

The final bars of music  floated away and it was time to return to reality.  After much final applause, the doors opened again spilling the crush of full-figured women back out onto the hot and humid New York City streets.

In spite of a few technical difficulties, partially due to the un-cooperative weather and a skipping CD player, the entire show was handled with flair and grace.  I think I can speak for all who attended when I thank the designers, models, staff and, above all, Gwen DeVoe for putting together a truly uplifting and inspirational show that recognizes the beauty in all of us.

Final Notes Although Toccara Jones, the plus model from Cycle 3 of America's Next Top Model had a last minute scheduling conflict due to a new television project in Los Angeles, and was unable to walk the catwalk in New York City as a guest model, the plus-size community was well represented by the lovely ladies of Dangerous Curves. We hope that she is able to join them on another occasion.
