Plus-size sleepwear can be incredibly difficult
to find in most brick-and-mortar retail stores,
with sizes larger than a 3X virtually
impossible. While many women will wear
t-shirts, yoga pants,
leggings, and their
underwear as alternatives, feminine nightgowns,
trendy pajama sets, and plush robes are readily available
on-line in both plus and super sizes.
As a favorite gift in many families
around the
Christmas
holidays, for Mother's Day, and as students get
ready to go away for college, sleepwear appealing to both
young and more mature women is in demand.
Caftan style loungewear is also popular on
resort vacations and sometimes can even double
as swim cover-ups.
Sexier styles more
normally found in lingerie shops
and some of the plus specialty retailers
are favored by some, especially for special
occasions such as honeymoons and romantic
getaways.
Fall and winter months
see fabrics such as flannel as popular choices,
while spring and summer sleepwear tends to be lighter and
barer with knit and woven cotton especially
popular. Luxury fabrics such as silk are

classic and vintage inspired styles are

supplement the sexier lingerie for which they
are best known. Sizing here is available
from XL to 6X.
Blair is
another particular good and diverse catalog
resource with styles ranging from classic basics
to novelty prints in size XS to 3X.
Teens will like the cute sleepwear options
offered at
Torrid
which has one of the best collections of pop
culture, movie themed, and music inspired tees
that can be combined with leggings and sleep
pants as pajamas in size XL to 6X.
They often have licensing agreements with
Disney, Marvel, and others for charcters and
themes.
