dresses which have taken center stage
in recent years, designer skirts are gaining in
popularity again as separates that can be mixed
and matched for versatile and unique looks. Classic
pencil skirts and retro midi skirts are the most common
silhouettes, especially for working women,
along with more casual maxi skirts popular for
resort and casual wear. The

Lord & Taylor in size 14 to 24W.
Formal styles are often organized in with
dresses at both sites, rather than on the
separate skirt tab.
Nordstrom is the department store most likely to
have a wider range of skirt styles ranging from
casual to special occasion, with a good
selection of work appropriate style.
Meanwhile, upscale designer labels such as
Lafayette 148, Marina Rinaldi, Basler, and
Stizzoli are available at
Saks Fifth Avenue.
More casual, maxi skirt styles from names such
as XCVI, Rachel Pally, Tolani, and Johnny Was are often
along with more classic designers such as Eileen
Fisher. Those who wear in the size 14 to
18 range will find even more options from mid to
high end designers on their main racks.

McCarthy sometimes includes skirts in
her Seven7 line for sizes up to 4X. She's known
for bold colors and quirky prints, and sometimes
offers simpler solids as foils as well.

influenced fashion forward styles for sizes up
to 3X. Those looking for natural fibers
can often find options in linen and others from
