models. From time to time we issue a model
call on our
Plus-size Fashion
Industry Job Board or
the
Elegant
Plus Facebook Page. You are
welcome to join free of charge.
Q. Can
Elegant Plus locate modeling work for me?
A.
Not directly. Elegant Plus is not an agency.
You may subscribe to the
Elegant Plus Facebook
Page that posts
many modeling jobs that we may hear about
along with other fashion industry jobs,
news, events and style reports. We do not guarantee any
of these opportunities, and recommend that
you always check references.
Q. Can you recommend any plus modeling
resources to help me get started in the
industry?
A. Yes.
Attending open calls at
major agencies that have plus modeling, fit
modeling, or commercial modeling divisions
can often give you valuable feedback on the
requirements for working within the fashion
industry as a model. Consult the
yellow pages of the nearest city to your
location for agencies. The largest
plus model markets in the U.S.A. are in New
York City and Los Angeles, but smaller
markets do exist in other major cities.
