Designers are starting to take the
plus market more seriously with offerings often available in
mid-priced or diffusion lines that are accessible to more people
than the collections presented on the high fashion runways.
Still a vastly underserved market, plus designer accessibility is
getting much better with the rise in popularity of e-commerce. Smaller
labels, while sometimes generating some great buzz, often are
hard to find outside special runway and trunk shows.
